George developed a love of film and theater at an early age and started to make short films in high school. He followed his passion while at Rice University and Cambridge University in England where he performed with the comedic troupe Footlights. He stared his film career working in the editing department on films like the Crow and American Heart before moving into development at Avenue Pictures. As a fellow in the prestigious James Michener Center for Writers MFA program, George wrote and directed several short films including BREEZEWAY which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and played on PBS, the BBC and Canal +

In his twenty years in the film industry, George has produced, directed and filmed documentaries about the teenage environmental group Generation Earth, Holistic Therapies for AIDS and live performances of bands like the White Stripes, No Doubt and Devo. Most recently, he devoted four years to producing and directing the award-winning environmental documentary Vanishing of the Bees. As a writer he worked on the staff of Channel 4’s Armstrong and Miller sketch comedy show and penned the screenplay for the feature comedy Cake, which garnered the audience award for best feature from The Other Venice Film Festival. He brings passion, curiosity and creativity to his work as a filmmaker and strives to engage the minds of his audience as well as touch their hearts.
